Christmas for the community
The Kingborough Helping Hands Sharing Tree was officially opened at Channel Court, Kingston on Friday, November 24.
This marks the seventh year the Sharing Tree has been in operation here.
Craig Lucas from Kingborough Helping Hands (KHH) explained that the Sharing Tree was initiated by some St Aloysius Catholic College students
40 years of radio
Huon and Kingston FM recently celebrated 40 years in radio at the Brookfield Shed, Margate.
David Carr played some tunes on the keyboard, followed by the band Thugs who sang between speeches by the presenters.
The festivities ended at the Kermandie Hotel with entertainment by local musicians Steve and Marjorie Gadd and Daystar
