Opening APM Kingston office

APM's new Kingston office was officially opened by Kingborough Mayor Paula Wriedt last week.
State manager of APM John Klug, business managers Jose Matteo, Steven Triffitt and De Bogert and their staff as well as representatives from Banjos, North West Bay Golf Club and Konekt Workcare all attended.
APM Kingston currently have over 70 clients they are working with to support into sustainable employment as well as providing support to just under 40 clients who are currently in active employment.
APM staff discussed the future of disability employment support with Cr Wriedt.
"The re-opening of a dedicated Disability Employment Services Office in Kingston is an embodiment to APM's commitment to inclusivity, equal opportunities and societal progress," business manager Jose Matteo said.
"By empowering individuals with disabilities to find their place in the workforce, they are able to break through any prejudices and propel themselves towards a bright future built on compassion, understanding and true integration.
"When individuals with injury, illness or disability are actively engaged in meaningful employment, the benefits are not merely confined to the individual.
"Their empowerment and financial independence lead to self-confidence, improved mental well-being, and a sense of belonging that positively affects the entire community."
