New logo for Spring Farm Village

New logo for Spring Farm Village

Tipalea Partners has unveiled a new logo for Spring Farm Village designed by local Huntingfield resident, Laura Philpot.
A Facebook competition was held to decide on the logo and Laura's winning design received more than 1000 votes from followers of the Spring Farm Village Facebook page.
Laura requested that if her logo was selected Tipalea Partners would donate to local women's shelter Jireh House, which they agreed to.
"Social responsibility is something we take to heart in all communities that we operate in," CEO of Tipalea Partners Scott Spanton said.
"We recently started working with Beacon Foundation through our Glebe Hill Village shopping centre.
"The work that Beacon provides is super impressive and we want to continue working with them across our Tasmanian projects.
"Jireh House and Beacon Foundation will be our charities of choice for Spring Farm Village, and we intend to support these initiatives throughout its construction and beyond."
The winning Spring Farm Village logo design pays homage to the nearby landmark of kunanyi/ Mount Wellington.
Laura said it was a natural choice to incorporate the mountain into her design given it stands 'protectively' over Kingston and Spring Farm Village.
She chose a navy-blue colour to match the exact hue of the mountain when viewed from afar.
"The mountain looks different depending on where you stand and which angle you're looking from," Laura explained.
"I wanted to capture the exact shape and colour of the mountain, as you see it from the site of the new shopping centre."
A Kingborough resident her whole life, Laura has lived in Huntingfield for the last three years with her three daughters.
"We're delighted to have a new logo for Spring Farm Village that holds significance to the local community," said Scott Spanton.
"Laura's logo speaks to the residents of the Kingborough region, celebrating its natural beauty with a message of inclusivity."
